Everyone I know under the age of forty makes fun of me because my iPod has about ten songs and a few hundred audio books and podcasts.
When I bought my Blackberry, I thought about the 30-year business I ran with 1800 employees, all without a cell phone that plays music, takes videos, pictures and communicates with Facebook and Twitter. I signed up under duress for Twitter and Facebook, so my 7 kids, their spouses, 13 grandkids and 2 great grand kids could communicate with me in the modern way. I figured I could handle something as simple as Twitter with only 140 characters of space.
Sometimes in life we meet someone who changes our worldview..Jack Brightnose was one of those people.
Barack Obama and the 111th US Congress -- a long list:
1) Can identify celebrity voice-overs in TV commercials.
2) Can read difficult books even in dim light.
3) Can always, always, put commas in correct places.
Who would have thought it.
When I mentioned to one of my students that I had just started a Facebook page, she rolled her teenaged eyes.
"Another old person ruining Facebook!" she moaned.
So to jump-start this blog, maybe some lyrics
from a tune you may recall...
Pancho & Lefty
Living on the road, my friend
Was gonna keep you free and clean
